Facilitated by Dr. Christina Kishimoto, former state superintendent of Hawaii and CEO of Voice4Equity, this five-session, one-semester program uses an academy design to ensure focused participation by all participants. Who is eligible: Open to all women education leaders at the superintendent or Cabinet level – membership with ALAS is not required. Now Accepting Leaders for the Fall 2022 Cohort Through a series of five, interactive sessions, participants will explore current challenges around delivering an equity agenda that meets the learning needs of all students, particularly those historically marginalized. This is a wonderful opportunity for student leaders from urban districts across the country who want to develop their civic voice on issues affecting their school communities, and we would be honored to have representation from your district. Who is eligible: Female students in their junior or senior year of high school Student must be available and committed to attend all four sessions Student should have strong collaboration skills but be a novice to leadership Now Accepting Students for the Fall & Spring Cohorts District and school leaders can nominate up to two students for the 2022-2023 school year.
